What to Expect
Come prepared to answer a lot of questions about your day-to-day—tell me about that new hobby, your uncomfortable couch, or the change to your work schedule. A thorough interview is the best way to build an informed and effective treatment plan.
I strive to empower my clients in their health journeys by encouraging active participation. I look forward to the collaborating with you throughout the assessment, treatment and planning process.
With a combination of passive and active, non-oil and oil techniques, and pressure that adjusts to your level of muscle tension and your level of comfort, I have seen good results from working on clients with tension headaches, overuse injuries, and postural imbalances.
About Me
Hi, nice to meet you! I’m Sophie.
I received my training from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC. I graduated from the 2400 hour program in 2019. I also completed the Board Exams and became a registered massage therapist in BC where I worked for three years. For the last three years, I was located in Saskatchewan and continued my practice as a member of the Massage Therapy Association of Saskatchewan. Currently, I am a member of the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta.
My background in team sports and dance gives me the context and understanding to help you with related injuries and goals. I have done coaching, was a manager for the Briercrest College Women’s Volleyball team, and have had the opportunity to work with the BC Lions. No matter what your role is, you matter to the team, and I am here to support you.
But I am also here for those who are not into sports or dance. I share a love for movies, travel, and food. Growing up overseas provided me with a broad worldview and I welcome everyone, whatever your background is. I am interested in getting to know you and your story, and I am positive we will find something to connect on.
